Repair: Chain slip at high torque

are any of the teeth damage and whats the code on the rear mech some acera mechs where made for early hybrid use and couldn't go any lower than a 13 tooth sprocket n the cassette or free wheel i nwt muh cra about bikes

Lock the front wheel, get someone to hold your bike while you hammer away in bottom and get them to look at what's slipping. My money is on chainrings - sprocket angles are too acute to get much slip unless they're absolutely knackered.

The cassette is new. It's only happening in the lowest gear. Chain has done about 10 miles. I think it might be insufficient b tension.

im not talking about the cassette  im talking about the bit they slide onto.

No tooth damage, it says rd m29t on the inside of the derailleur. I've got an stx-rc i might swap in see if it helps.

it's a 9 speed hub, but's got a spacer of appropriate thickness.

He means; are you sure it's not the pawls in the freehub body slipping? You know, the bit the cassette slides onto, rather than the cassette itself.
