As described :)

I need to remove the decals off a pair of rims and a hub and i though id see if anyone has a good method.
Was intending to heat up with a hairdryer, then peel away, but i dont want to stretch them which they might do being hot.
Will the heat release enough of the bond so they come easily away or do you recommend heat and maybe a solvent :? but again with the latter, nothing that will damage them.

Thoughts :)

Good luck with this,

I have tried a few times and failed :( I used the hairdryer but it lost the adhesive and they crumpled.

I bet people have been successful and Id be interested to know how

Re:

Maybe a very fine blade such as a modeller scalpal to work beneath the decal as you peal away with tweasers. Possibly introduce glue solvent beneath transfer with a syringe and needle as you use the scalpel and tweasers. Basically sounds very hard and almost surgical but I reckon patience and precision might win.

Nail on head V, though with my scalpel and shaky hands i'd sure go through it
As to solvent, im with you on that and as previously mentioned am likely to lose the gum either way.
In the past ive taken the decal and backed it onto some helicopter tape before reapplying, though that was a hope hub so i could wrap it around even if its not sticky itself.
