Removing crank with stripped thread?

Anyone know an easy way to remove a crank arm with a stripped thread?

Doh sounds good but i have just stripped the whole bike down :-(

ball joint splitter, clamp frame as securely as poss, and tw@t it!

If you know a freindly garage or engineering works they may have a bearing puller. Other wise you can cobble together a strongback and jack it off but it can be a PITA.

Applying a little heat and tapping it may help too.

sounds harsh but if you hacksaw alloy arm ensuring not to go thorugh to bb spindle and avoid hitting frame, then large screwdriver or similar and hey presto, I have done this many times

I went with this method myself, as I didn't need the cranks anymore.... I substituted the hacksaw tho, for a dremel with a disc on and gently went through a bit at a time.....
