Redundant again

Join the club, feels like me and my wife take turns ! still not as bad as when we were both made redundant. I might even get away with a tax rebate by the slim margin of of being £40 under

Keep busy , trust me. I spend 2 days a weeks volunteering / will be 3 soon plus through my volunteering i have managed to get on 13 free day courses relevant to said volunteering which will hopefully make me a better prospect for the line of work i wish to end up in............... my wife doesn't earn a lot and she's pregnant poor thing  I feel guilty

Sorry to hear it

Occupational hazard these days, been done 2 times already, right pita when it happens, fingers crossed on something turning up.

Who says it's your fault that she's pregnant?
(sorry, couldn't resist.)

On a more serious note, being made redundant sucks. I'm fairly familiar with it, and now only have a part-time job.

 sorry to hear that Steve..my daughter 18 years old just qualified as a hair stylist..only to be told she is getting laid off this friday

Ernie

Couple of hours searching and there's a few to apply for tomorrow, once I've 'adjusted' my CV.

Can't stop thinking about working for myself again tho... Few Ideas but nothing concrete as yet.. :?

all the best bud...been to the job centre a few times over the last 2 weeks with my daughter...very depressing place... its full a lot of good people that just want to work

Ernie

Yeah, bad luck mate. But im sure something else will come along 8)
Retrain.College ? thought about that? A mate went from Carpenter general labourer to fully trained plumber all through retraining.
