Record "Titanium" 8-speed levers?

Does anyone know if the Campag Record "Titanium" 8-speed Ergopower levers is compatible with older 8-speed derailleurs? I know the Titanium groupset uses a different cassette and body from the other, older 8-speed Record groups, so want to make sure the levers I found will work with the other components.

The only crossover is 9 speed, with pre-and post-2001 shifter/mech combinations.

The difference on the titanium hub is in the spline configuration.
