hey all

Have tried Nitromors and it didn't even make a dent,

trying to remove paint from an old frame before sand blasting and painting.

Anyone know off anything that a high street shop can sell me?

All the best

Doug

I've used Nitromors and scotch brite pads to some success. Failing that the local powder coaters and a tenner would cover it I reckon.

i cant recommend you paint stripper, but if you go to crawley, there are plenty of strippers there

if Epoxy paint , it will take a few attempts to get it off .

on a stumpjumper it only took a few minutes , whereas on a yeti it took ages .

^^depends on what the frame is made of. Shotpeening or sandblasting carbon or aluminum is not generally recommended.

If it's a steel frame a blow lamp and wire brush will shift it. If it's an alloy frame or you don't fancy the blow lamp attack try sanding the top layer of paint/laquer down before applying the stripper. I've found Wickes paint remover pretty good and fairly cheap.
