As title really

It's a later 3GS i-phone, so hopefully the world is my oyster.
What's good, what's bad?

Thanks
Steve

Trailguru is ok (and free). My mate swears by a paid one he uses when snowboarding, I'll have to ask him what that is though.

motionx-gps or cyclemeter, both allow you to see your route over google earth/maps recording your max speed, av speed, time, height, add way points, calories used!

one of my routes taken from cyclemeter

that was while the snow was still on the ground and I took a spill between segments 3 - 4! well thats my excuse for the low average in that section  if you zoom in you can see where the gps route differs from the actual physical route route although I find this version truer that the Nokia sports gps
this is with the Iphone in an OtterBox Defender case clipped and velcroed to the chest strap on my camel bak that way its out of the way of most of the muck and you can still hear the tunes without disturbing the general public

case .... http://www.amazon.co.uk/OtterBox-Defend ... 352&sr=8-2

its worth the cash to protect your phone and still let you use it :D

Fantastic, cheers for all the above info, that's plenty for me to be getting on with......

Anybody else got any tried-and-tested recommendations??
Steve

I'm using cyclemeter as well. For £2.99 you really can't complain. I like the calendar function which shows how your ride compares to previous journeys on the same route, nice for speeding up the commute! I do find it makes me push harder if the facebook updates are on, don't want anyone to think I'm slacking!!
