Recommend me a cheap turbo trainer

Quieter than a fan trainer, which makes the suffer-fests a bit easier with being able to hear the ipod.

I bought one of these - not bad for the money - but tricky if you want to change wheelsize between 26" and 700c

Have just ordered one of these as seems a very reasonable price. Oddily less expensive for a new one than an ex-demo one, you'd think they'd check sale prices.

Cut to the chase - burn £100 and put the ashes in the loft

Put on cycling kit, fetch bicycle from man cave and place outside house, sit on bicycle and ride.

Turdo trainers, the cycling equivalent of giving the one eyed field mouse with the purple turtleneck sweater a hot-butter noogie.

If it's too cold, put a jacket on, if it's raining and muddy well so what? You would have washed your kit and had a shower after getting all sweaty on the turdo trainer wouldn't you?

As much as I agree with that its not so easy these days. By the time I've got home from work, got the kids to bed and had something to eat its normally 8:30. Don't really feel like heading out properly at that time and I can't hear if the kids have woken up if I'm not at home. Turbo trainer will be useful for putting in the odd hour or so when I've not managed to get out on a lunchtime.
