One trip to Denmark and people will quickly change their mind as to the viability of IGH. I am currently strolling round by flat complexes and derailleur drivetrains are severely underrepresented because they're a faff and not good for a neglected every day workhorse.

We used to see many working sa 3s from the 50s,60s & 70s, decades old, tired, tatty bikes given little attention.

Well used 25yo 4 speeds?
Conspicuous by their absence.

Many of the old fellas would slag them off an'all.

Read somewhere about less than 5 percent of the UK population cycle daily. Shocker how cheap, heavy yet reliable internally geared bikes seem to get more people out and about on a daily basis here. (30%)
