Recognize this tyre?

Does anybody recognize what the white tyre is on the back of this bike?

The tyre was bought in 1995 and is probably a Michelin or a Continental (it was bought in France)

Any ideas?

On a side note, why are all the tyres these days boring black? What has happened to coloured tyres and natural rubber coloured tyres?

I think you are right. I always thought that it was a french tyre I bought, hence Michelin, but Panaracer was on my mind but I discounted them as they're Japanese.

I must admit that I am rather lusting after a nice set of Magics now. Its a real shame that you can't get them anymore

I don't remember the exact location only that it was in the French Pyrenees. If you can find a road that looks like this on Google maps then that is were is is...

Sometimes living in the flatlands of Illinois kinds of sucks. Especially when I am missing out on terrain like this...

Looks like tour de France territory to me. I'd be lucky to walk up there let alone ride a bike up :shock:
