Don't know the particular battery but it sounds good. High maH for the price. One thing to be aware of is I've found that the higher the maH the physical dimensions increase slightly, they may be slightly portlier than a regular battery. Have you had a look around deal xtreme? Peruse the battery sections reviews( yes people are reviewing batteries) and you pick up a few titbits.

Also from what I remember when buying some cells a year or so ago. that's only quoted mAh. Of course they may not well achieve that or it's capacity may well reduce rapidly compared to others after recharges or it may drop below a workable voltage quickly.
Of course it may not and they are brilliant.

Camera sites often have reviews or did when AA where more commonly used.

Lidl, 4x NiMh 2500 batts £2.50 a pack and size. Mignon brand.
Got a couple of packs this week. The work, how well who knows.
My camera eats batts like hell anyway.

This is what I was worrying about.

I could get twice as many of the Lidl batteries, which at 2.1Ah capacity-wise aren't half bad either. And I know them; they are pretty good, currently powering a lot of gadgets on the boat.

Try looking at model car batteries. Some good ones there, IIRC.

I bought some RS 10Ah, yes 10,000mAh ones a while ago. These were 1.2v NiMH ones and had to be fan cooled when charging. Bloody good for my lights but six of these weighed about the same as a 6.0v 4,500Mah lead acid one. 8)

Well a 6V 4.5Ah Lead Acid weight 1 pound, so getting double hours usage is not bad going.

and at the above ebay site 6V 4.3Ah NiMH are 0.6lb

If you can find and afford them, go to Li Ion or better still, Li Polymer. My Hope headtorch has Li Ion but my Tiger Lights have Li Po - last longer and take far less time to charge. 8)

NiMH are good but now a bit outdated.

I know.

Anyways they have the LiPo there and it's 0.5lb but 7.2V and same Ah.
though twice the price.
That cost doesn't seem worth it to me.

If they are cheaper elsewhere than no problem.
