You need different qualifications to practice law in many countries, ditto for doctors/nurses.
Business and corporate law, yes. You can do that any where (usually)

And are you surprised many engineers want to leave the UK? The money is rubbish, most people think you spend your life oily to the elbows and treat you with a similar amount of respect. In a lot of countries the title is protected, if you don't have a degree, or chartered status, you can't be an Engineer.

My Dad was asked to project manage a hydro eletric dam project in Libya ,pay was huge and i mean huge.
Only problem was the contract was all in Arabic and he was basically asked to sign then and there :? Turned it down
