Really really want fatbike!

Rode the test bike today (single speed and a tiny 16" frame...I'm 6ft 3!!!) and it was awesome! Felt dead easy on the tarmac, even in the ss setup. Not so keen on the swept back bars that come with it but I guess you get used to it, or swap them for 'proper' bars. Kerbs are non existant, riding up or down them (not allowed to take it off road as it was the show room bike). Tried to bribe them with a cheeky deposit but no such luck guess I will just have to wait untill release time and fight for one  .So in conclusion it is brilliant hopefully I will be one of the lucky ones that manages to bag one of the first batch bikes.

No pics!! I'm building up a steady deposit for the pre order. Pretty certain this is what I'll be going for too. I take it you've sacked the Surly?

Hand on heart I would prefer a surly I love steel and it has the pedigree, but looking at and riding the on one leveled up the playing field and the price is the biggest selling point £1k for a full bike is very good (and it's a lot of bike!) I hope I can get one when they come out for release. If I don't get one in the first batch i'll be ordering a surly.

Theres a thread on mtbr about frame material and how its not such a big deal with the big tyres. I do prefer steel myself but can see the logic in this, in fact its been mentioned in 29er threads also and was partly the reason for me buying an alloy 29er to replace a steel one.
