Welcome to the entries page of RBotM September 2023!

Following on from the hugely successful and very popular July RBotM we have returned to monthly competitions, so lets see if we can keep the enthusiasm and interest building.

Open month once again and usual rules apply. 1 entry per member, 2 photographs with a brief sentence or two description with a link to a readers ride build page or website etc, basically somewhere to get more information if available. Entries open until the last hours of the month.

Go on I am game, another build for a friend a 1948 Maclean. It threw a curved ball with the paint on the frame but it gave the opportunity to go bold with new colour.

Macleans

As well as a Youngs of Lewisham I am also building up the Macleans for a friend. I am guessing its 40/50's, any one know better> Drop out width is 112mm.

My 1981 thrift store Trek 710. Hand built in Wisconsin in 1981, brought to the Netherlands by the original owner, built up by him with all Campagnolo parts. Build thread:

Last week I got into a conversation with a neighbour in my village, who is from the U.S. originally. He recently had a new bike built and he told me he gave his old Trek to the thrift store. I said it is probably worth something but he said he didn't want the trouble. I decided to go look for it...
