Welcome to RBotM May 2025 - Open Month

Thanks to all who entered as we have a really broad range covered by this months entries, something for everyone's tastes.
It will be really interesting to see where this one leads, all worthy of the win, but it will be down to the tastes of the voters.
So if you pick a favourite make sure you vote, tell your fellow members to get in here and vote for theirs as well.

Usual rules of one vote per member, results hidden until the poll closes and then the winner announced.
Thanks again and best of luck to all.

Jamie

Slim pickings, but nice mix.

I was not aware the Sports came with a drop bar. Was that a factory option or a standard feature for a specific year or model variant? Hub type? Is no chainguard also stock? I had been mocked for wanting to make a path racer type bike out a Sports. Made perfect sense to me at the time (alloy drop bar/stem/post/brakes/rims, and B.17), keep fenders and maybe chainguard.

Thanks @3wheeler7
I have no Sports models of those years (possibly an early-mid '40s Sports with no date stamp on hub; and a 64-65) so no drops. Are those bar/stems one piece or two? So for a 5 year period Raleigh made a Sports that actually looked "sporty" instead of utilitarian; very interesting.

The bars and stems are separate items. I think the Model 21 Sports actually ran alongside the "standard" Sports (flat bar model).

Looks like it was the Sports Tourist Model 23 or the Superbe Sports Tourist Model 24.
