Is there a build thread for the Carlton? I would like to see those lugs.

I have added a 2nd picture showing head lugs . Taken during its build . There is a thread for it . I will update it later

Re: Robster's Peugeot Perthus Pro

I will throw my hat into the ring so to speak with my Peugeot Perthus Pro. She is not 100% original and has some patina of use! but I love this bike and it is one of my favourites.

Peugeot 753r
Shimano 600 headset/brakes/chainset/front mech
Shimano 600 'tricolour' 8 speed hubs/rear mech/shifters
Mavic Mach 2Cd2 rims
Rolls saddle

I'm so pleased with the result of the recent respray and rechrome that I'll put two penn'orth on my 1988 Colnago Super Sprint which has taken care of me for more than 100,000 kms and still gets ridden 3 or 4 times a week.

Columbus SL Cromor framset
Full Campagnolo Chorus (1st. gen) set
Wolber TX Profil rims (1988 version)
Respray and rechrome completed 04-04-2014
Re-assembly completed 16-04-2014

Re:

There are some smashing bikes entered so far , well done to you all !
Looking at a couple of the British entries made me wonder , has there been a 'Most Ornate Lugwork Competition ' in the past ?

Colnagolover - that looks a really top quality paint/restoration.

Thank you, Andy - I am indeed really pleased with the result and although I've only managed to get her on the road on 3 occasions since the respray/reassembly was completed, I just don't see any more beautiful bikes on the road - there are zero retro bikes ridden around here and the modern fibre stuff just looks - in my eyes - ugly, irrespective of make or model

Well, if you're still taking entries, I'll throw in my Holdsworth built Pollard.
