Daughter hates the day glow paint on the Marin I'm building for her, can you rattle can paint at home forks, stem and bars or do they have to be done professionally?
Probably be about £30 to get them powder coated, maybe less if you're not in a hurry and they can slip it through the oven with other stuff. Rattle can finish won't cost much less and won't last long with sprogs.

Down in sunny Devon I have been charged between £48 and £65 for shot blast and powder coating frame and forks, but the finish is very durable. You will have to strip the bike down and remove the bottom bracket and headset.
I have tried a rattle can finish on the boys BMX but I ended up spending a load of cash on something which did not last.Download a RAL colour chart for an idea of what colours you can get.
Varies from 30 odd to 70 odd depending on there quality you want up here. You get what you pay for.
Alison LSN Coiating in Castleford are cheap and good enough quality. Probably get the framer done at the same time. I think 35 quid or the like.
Yorvik are higher quality apparently and a bit more costly, will do intricate details and finishings and costs more. Things like two colour abrupt changes cost twice as much iirc. http://www.lsn-coatings.co.uk http://www.yorvik-es.co.uk/powder.html
Aye, it's worth jumping on the A64 and heading darn t' cas. They now do some funky colours, except flouro, something about it attracting contaminants.
It's best to keep an open mind on colour til you get there, then see what they have.
Rattle- can, can be a pain. By the time the have bought 2 tins of finish, 1 primer, maybe lacquer, 24h between coat drying time...blah....it is too soft for even canal tow-paths n stuff. LSN will do the stem, bars for nowt. Allow £40-ish.
