He says it still has its original tyres - not bad, after sixteen years of regular use.

To be fair, the dark grey colour is fairly rare and he may just mean that he has never seen another one like it, which is plausible. Most 1994 Cinder Cones were in the peach colour, like this one that Steve Jones used to have.
