Random garage find today

I was up at my parents house today with the kids, and my dad hands me a bag full of old bike parts I'd left in the garage years ago.

My eyes lit up, a bag full of goodies? Not quite, but some parts that might prove useful:

Oh, and a set of White Industries cranks :)

They need a bit of a clean and a polish, but quite pleased with the find.

I've got a random disc mount too, any idea what its from? Pace forks maybe?

Not a bad end to the day. Had a brilliant ride out round Whinlatter this morning (South Loop, then North Loop and finished with the Blue route) and now a nice set of cranks and other bits.

Thats a nice find, especially the cranks. They should go on your stumpie :D

I thought that, but I think the cranks are for compact rings and I've only got non-compact ones. Will get them polished up and see if I can find some cheap rings.

It's a Marin one, not sure if it's of any use to anyone. Got a Marin flat bar and bar ends too, but might put them on the Stumpy until I can get something a bit better.

Brand new tub of Judy butter there too, Blue DCD, Red DX front brake lever, a few big chain rings, lots of aheadset top caps, gear and brake cables, XT V-brake... Not bad for a random find.

All that stuff is good for somebody i'm sure. If you dont want to keep any of it bung it up for sale for a few quid and see if you have any takers. I like the plan of using what you can for the stumpie though, get that going then replace it as and when. Summers nearly here so you want to get riding it soon!

thanks earl and LGF, but this isn't the mount I'm after - that looks like it is for a hydraulic caliper - the one with the long plate going don't to the axle.

If the shim is stepped and angled it is most likely for a pace, but with out the shim it can be used for a few others.
