Apparently he'd owned it for 10 years and never got around to finishing it - I did spot this after some searching http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... &start=285 (halfway down) so there must be a few about that were unfinished; that one on the link has holes in the top tube for the cable guides

I know what you mean about the cost; I was thinking refinishing the frame, VO Threadless BB and singlespeeding it with just a front brake...
