Raleigh Technium Peak

Just finished... my Raleigh Technium Peak - 1990 (ish).

Not absolutely factory spec but built using similar-era parts (like the Flexstem).

Check out the lilac paint scheme! (very poor condition by the way). Actually marked in permanent pen on the forks: 'MAUVE', as if the factory couldn't actually believe they were spraying it that colour...

BITD I had a Technium Heat which I loved, it was nice to get out and ride this thing and hear the cables pinging on the tubes just like my old one did - brought back memories.

Oh, and the slick tyres are for the London commute - this will be a daily driver. Once I've found/made a suitable wishbone rack adaptor.

(Shortly after this photo was taken I got a flat... some things never change)

Thanks!

BITD this was a good value bike compared to rivals - I think there might have been some favourable exchange rate or something.

Anyway it's not a Raleigh in the conventional sense...

(NB: 'test' pedals now swapped for modern SPDs)
