Raleigh team panasonic

Plankatron

Retro Newbie
Raleigh Team Panasonic. Reynolds 501, 23" frame. I bought this bike last year as the condition of it was to good to miss. I have not cleaned or done anything since I bought it. It is in very good total original condition. Tyres, brake pads, reflectors, even the black gear cables are the original and in excellent condition. The handlebar tape is coming off a bit but i have not done anything with it as i did not want to change anything from original. I would like to keep this bike but am needing money for other bike projects.

Any questions please ask.

£250

Thanks, Jon

Nice looking bike

It's a Team Cadet, with the 'lesser spotted' 501 frame (most have 18-23 'gas pipe' tubing)

If I'm honest, I'd say that £250 is on the high side for this, when Team Corsa's (built at the Raleigh Lightweight unit, with much higher spec) sell at circa £200 in nice clean condition.

But, as always, it's a case of what someone is prepared to pay

Re:

Hi, thanks for the extra information. I didn't know it was the cadet. I know the 531 framed bikes are the one to have, this example just struck as me as being in very good original condition. Like you said it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Thanks

No problem

Pic's from the original brochure (but as I've said, it appeared in the brochure with the 18-23 tubing) I 'think' the 501 bike may have been a 'jays catalogue special'
