Raleigh Team Banana

I know this might have been asked before but i couldn't find anything on a search!

What is the difference between the TEAM RALEIGH and TEAM RALEIGH BANANA bikes.

I have just got a TEAM RALEIGH version and looking at banana versions on the net and ebay i can't see much difference apart from the decals.

So do i restore it as a team issue or banana issue???? Is one worth more than the other :?

I don't think there's much in it, to be honest. I think the Team Raleigh model came about after the banana importers teamed up with Falcon for squad sponsorship instead, but Nottingham carried on turning out similarly-liveried bikes for some reason (either popularity of the colour scheme or already having a stock of part-complete bikes after the sponsorship deal ran out??). There may also have been a step up from Sachs-Huret friction to Shimano indexed gearing along the way. The Team Raleigh wasn't produced in quite the same volumes as the Banana version, dunno how this impacts upon collectability though.
