Raleigh Summit - to upgrade or sell for parts?

Yep you're about 7 miles from me and I can look at the forks if needed ;)
They're MAG 30's from 1992 (which is the year of the bike). So air/oil
Oil is easy to change, air need the little seals to work, which can be the problem as I don't have valves for MAG20/30's as far as I know. but they can be made to work.
I might have some seals or top caps with valves in that might get it going.
As said above, we ride from Welton often. Bridge, Cave and Raywell are other starting points and we sometimes pass thought the public footpath cutting through brough.
Fitness not really needed, ability to eat cooked breakfasts and chat is a more stringent requirement though.
Of course if your are riding 19" bikes and assuming it's the correct size then Chris or myself can always bring a spare bike along.

Back to the bike.
Assuming forks are not going to be working, then you can buy some working legs for it (MAG's again) or just get some other forks for now.

I would probably re-cable the bike and look at the inner tubes and tyres to see if they have perished, along with brake blocks.
Oil up the chain of it is not hard and rusty and then get it riding.
See what rattles, grinds and then fix that.

With Yorkshire Wolds Bike Repair down the road form you http://www.yorkshirewoldsbikerepairs.co.uk/ <cough> to help if you need some hands on advice, course I'm down the road as well in the other direction.
