Raleigh Summit, Rock Shox Mag 10 Fork need repair or replace

I collect broken MAG's it seems. spares always come in handy to make up a complete set.

The only problem you're going to have with disc brake forks is they'll be long compared to what the bike was designed for.

Get some pictures up.

Nice summit, that head tube is massive! My mags had yellow/green rockshox logos on the front of the forks (from memory)

Here is a couple of pics of my summit as it stands at the moment, as said the forks are rubbish and need to be replaced.

Travel on those fork is way too long, frame geometry will be well pi**ed.

Same forks I had on my summit with the yellow/green logo. The steerer/crown is on backwards, the forks should be at a slight forward angle compared to your head tube.

I believe any brace from the Mag series will replace your broken one, the later forks had the better/stronger/stiffer braces. I also run a brake booster on the front of my bike as it helps stiffen up the front end.

Good luck

It rides ok, but I am not as intune with the bike as maybe some of you guys are.

Yes, the fork crown is the wrong way around, I just rebuilt them quick for the pics.

So need to find a brace.

What forks would you suggest that I get, ones with disc mounts?

thanks for the info guys.

Yep I did, thanks, I have been away, so just getting back into things.

Indy's are a bit hard to come by now days and they don't come with disc mounts, how would Judy's suit it.

If I kept the travel at 80mm or 100mm, that would be ok wouldn't it?
