Hi All,
New find/purchase Raleigh Road Ace
Looks original except for the rear mech cable guide?
Road ace's did not have the cable guides.
When I pick the frame up I will check the frame number - Should begin WD?
Cheers

Has I got Campagnolo dropouts ?, think it's the same frame as the Mk7 Professional , what's the plan,🤔
I have to pick it up, should have it Friday afternoon.
OK I will look at drop outs and check the frame number and post results.
What plans? to be honest I am not sure yet, I hathered about buying it as kitting it with period correct parts will be a small fortune.
Just saving it the frame and by looking at the condition having it repainted will be a great start 😁

I said the Quadra, well that was a fib, I have been procrastinating over working on the Peugeot 2000, you see I have never taken these Shimano brakes/gear changers apart, tape is off the bars as we speak and someone has been in there !! Anyways this is school time for me/Youtube vids for info inspiration getting these strange beasts working - tried heat, brake cleaner and croil and they are still not playing ball, took the tape so not to ruin it - could I replace the yellow and green tape - probably not!

Update !!
I have got the Front changer working.
More heat from my heat gun I think got rid of the old grease, Brake cleaner then Croil then some 3 in 1 oil to lube.
what a pain in the rear getting the cap back on without snagging the lever - the little tang was not locating.
I need one round large ish plastic seal which locates inside the cap.

Blue tape looks factory, Yellow - whoever has been in before.

I managed to work out how to undo the brake changer from the bars.
I left the front one on the bars and got it freed off insitu.
