Recently new to the forum, so apologies if this is the wrong place. Thought I'd post a pic of the daily workhorse to get myself involved. I guess this would be considered a restomod approach with the modifications I've made..?
The bike was completely original and unused when I purchased it over 10 years ago - the brake pads and original black Weinmann rims had not even graced each other! I've since updated some critical parts as the previous ones had worn out.
I've tried my best to upgrade with performance in mind whilst still being sympathetic with the choice of replacement parts by aiming for the same manufacturer if possible, for example: the headset is a sealed Tange unit, the seatpost is still an SR Sakae, Shimano rear derailleur etc. As it's used most days I've thrown on better brake cables, Swissstop pads and a modern tubeless wheelset.
Excuse the granny ring at the front, my commute has some incredibly steep hills!
Cheers!
