brief background, I visit an old boy in a care home, a couple of years ago I went into the bin store and noticed a maverick looking a bit forlorn so after 2 years of tracking the owner down (well the warden did the tracking) it turns out the person who owned it moved out about a year ago, so they asked if i could have it and here we are.
it is a bit of a survivor but in general good health, the cones were loose, headset and bb loose, tyres have had it and general cack all over it.
I took the accessories off and gave it a wipe over, adjusted the brakes and turned the limit screw in so it wasn't stuck in bottom, (gear lever is broken) and gave it a good oil and a bit of a ride.
Im not going to do anything else to it as it really isnt worth it but it rides and stops and will hopefully keep the scallys away from my shed, but it does mean something to me as I bought the same one new bitd.
any idea on the year? Im thinking 86. anyway enjoy!

Now has fully working gears thanks to iwasgoodonce who very kindly dropped a shifter over and in my shock I was completely rude to him not inviting him in for a cupof tea and the customary tour of the retro facility (shed)
Thanks again and apologies for being a nob.
