For Sale Raleigh Lenton Sports early-50s, 56cm, £75

Another one I've had for a number of years and can't remember when or where I got it! A mostly original early 50s Lenton Sports in the classic green paint. 4-speed Sturmey Archer and front Dynohub, Bluemels plastic mudguards, Brooks B15, Raleigh bar, stem, crank and pedals. The grips may even be the originals, so the only non-original parts could be the tyres. Wheels are 26" x 1 1/4".

At some point, someone has added several stickers to the seat tube and they cover up any decals that might make it possible to identify the models year. You can just about make out the original decal under the glue residue but I have no idea what to use to clean this off without damaging the original decals. So I can't see whether there are any Reg Harris decals there.

Bike is in Aberystwyth, though I could potentially take it to Cardiff. Collection only.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I could use to tackle the stickers? I'm pretty sure there's a Lenton decal under there, and I'd like to know what might be hidden further up the seat tube.

Try a hairdryer and peeling off. Usually works for me.
