Raleigh chopper mk3

Don't know much about Raleigh frame numbers after 2000, but this looks a later model with the style of gripshift, probably 2010-12. A nice find.

Unfortunately these were a bit of a cynical attempt to cash in on the nostalgia surrounding the original.

It's aluminium, faded and a teeny bit naff.
But...prices are creeping up. They seem to have achieved some kind of legitimacy in the s/h chopper market. As the Mk3 stock has risen Mk1&2 prices have fallen.

Regardless - welcome to RB @Davelilly27 :)

Only by people trying to cash in on the nostalgia of nostalgia. The forks look a bit bent, the paint is faded to buggery, it's hardly worth the effort and expense to add Di2 and a narrow/wide chainring

I used my Chopper mark 1 to go to school on. And the shops and even to the seaside once, 20 miles (though I had to get the train home on account of my first case of the 'bonk'). It was sea foam blue, and it got me proper street cred in the playground. I even used it to pull a girl, though two people on a 20 inch chopper back wheel was never really a good idea 😲😜

It was pretty identical to this. My dad bought it me from a 'bloke in the pub'.
