Raleigh Apex for 30 quid? Good deal?

I'd say £30 was about on the money for an Apex assuming it all works.

Hey that one ya posted, is mine. Get some pics up dude I'm dead keen to see it. 
£30 is a good deal IMO, I sold then bought back mine for more than that. I really like mine but I didn't have a lot to compare it to when it worked plus it is strictly too small for me.
Sounds like a great starting point to me, I wanted to pimp mine just to annoy bike snobs but I accidentaly replaced it with several other projects! Doh!

Love these old Raleigh's. I have this 19" Apex that I'm sort of trying to restore but it's been put on hold for a while.
Needs the bottom bracket re threading and has a few dints/scratches etc.
Might build it up with LX stuff but not sure yet as it's a bit on the small size for me. :roll:

Well that is why I was drawn to it. I'm pretty short - 5'6 to be exact. But mind you, I'm alot younger than half of the people on this board
Only experience I've had of building stuff up is helping a friend of mine instal some Profile cranks on his BMX.
Also, this may or may not sound daft. But I've only seen pictures of it so far, and the cranks are black :? Does this mean they're not original? Or just a slightly different set?

* Girvin Flex Stem
* Shimano STI 400LX Gear System
* Gel Seat
* K2 Cromoly Tubing
* Shimano Brakes
* Quick inflation tyre valves
* Quick inflation pump
* Quick release wheels
* Quick release seat stem
* Toe clips
* Alesa black wheels
* Bar ends
