Question for the Tequesta owners

Got chatting to an old boy the other day. He was riding a GT Tequesta
early 90s fairly good nick (no he didn't want to sell it !).

Frame and forks were black with a kind of pearly purple dabbed over the top. Seemed to have original decals but not seen this paint scheme before.

Any thoughts ? Bike had cantis all round so prob around 92-95.
No special components but if it's original scheme I might be able to
pursuade him to part with it.

Can't ever remember them in black & purple but do remember the Team Avalanche in that scheme:
