Question for Cannondale Guru's

I have got my hands on a Cannondale SM700, it's the black one with green splatters.
It seems to have a U-Brake on the back but I have seen pictures of a few other SM700's with cantilevers on the back, also I looked at the 1991 brochure on here and it is a cantilever.

Slightly confused and any help appreciated.
