Yes they are indeed your old ones. I did wonder if that was what the hole was for.

Can I have a 24hr dib on the type 2 springs till I check if they fit a set of forks I have?

Sure thing but as FC states they are for the '97 ish era and are rebound springs (think that's what they'r called), they are short and go at the top just beneath the cap with either elastomer or shortish spring underneath

as Big Burner has now sourced a left hand m569 shifter i guess i'd better have your right hand one to go with my lonely left hand one!

M569 LX 8 speed right hand shifter only - £10

Yes of course that is fine, and FC I have added one pic of the M564 shifters but I need to take some new ones of the other shifters.

Got two FM's one is 34.9mm and bottom pull, the other is 31.8mm and top pull.
