Probably a question for John and the Mods but I've noticed all the snazzy ads for banks and stuff on the front page and on the bottom of the pages but I want to know how they work and how we can maximise the returns to Retrobike.

Does Retrobike get paid everytime I click on the ad or is it only if I purchase from the site having clicked through?

If it's everytime I click on the ads and open their website then that is what I will do to every ad both morning and evening - anything to ensure this place keeps on going!

Anyone know?

Generally with google ads, the site gets a small amount every time an advert is displayed (imprints), extra if you click it (click throughs) and bigger kickback if you purchase something from that site.

I think Auction Watch is the same, so if you click on a link in auction watch, then bid it counts for more. I think the big (relatively) bucks from ebay if you sign up as a new user.

i believe if you click through to an auction, bid on it and win, then part of the FVF goes to retrobike?

as such,if you make sure you always click through from retrobike before bidding, cash will abound
