PROjeKt FunK PRO Comp

OK, so I went to fit the RM bolt I had made but a little hic-up with it so had to get another made which I picked up Friday, I havent fitted it yet but sure it will be perfect this time.

I drilled and tapped the brake levers for the grub screws to secure the new shifter mounts as mentioned before so they are complete.

I had trouble trying to get the rear brakes balanced and realised the wheel needs to be dished to the left so that went back to the bike shop on Saturday for dishing, unfortunately they are so busy as usual its going to take a few weeks, like this was a fast build!

Once I had the crank on, wheel in and FM on I realised I had fitted the shorter BB axle in the wrong way round so changed that round the other day too.

So, some progress, getting there, but some weeks to go yet!

Enjoy the pics, cheers, Ash.

Cheers Tony, its one of the reasons its taken me so long to get on with fun stuff like putting bikes together, its all part of the garage extension, along with other work on the house, which I have done since moving here end of 2010, hoping to have the lot finished next year sometime.

The drill and tap did of course get a clean up after use ready for next time, you got to look after your tools! :D

Still going original green, once all these little niggly issues are sorted and its built and functional it will come apart again, get the paint, and back together knowing it will be just right! 8)

That's a very tough question for me for alot of reasons. Funk took me to a different place when racing which I felt lucky to be in but I only rode the race bike and my own for short amount of time really. My backfire I have had for 20 years now so I have covered a hell of alot of mud in that time and to me it's priceless, I will never sell it.

Funk or Klein...., can't answer yet!
