Proflex 856- needing info

Dr S

Old School Grand Master
Got a call from Sithlord today about a non starting truck so popped over to get it started. 1 hour and a coffee later ended up leaving with a tidy Proflex 856 frame under my arm.
Now I know I said I would not even think of another project until late summer, but only a week into the new year I have taken on 2 new projects.
Now I confess to knowing absolutely nowt about these things, so could anyone give me a push in the right direction. I don't even know where or what year it was built.
I do know that when he sees how shiny its come up he will kick himself :) :D

As a starter what forks should i stick on it??

856 = 1996.

wont look right without girvin crosslinks on the front.

Vectors. Crosslinks came later (although essentially the same!)
First year of V-brakes, but suit Maguras very nicely (came on the 'Beast' & 'Animal' versions)

Well deffo some polished Girvin Vectors then! Plus HS33s then pretty much anything goes! I had some RaceFace turbine cranks on mine which complimented the boxy swingarm perfectly.
Pic of polished frame please! 8)
