A couple of days ago, this frame and fork turned up at my house :)
Thanks Ringo!

Its an ALAN/British Eagle Pro Carbon from the early 90's.
I very nearly didn't buy it, as once again my monthly bike budget had well and truly gone. However, after finding out some more details and realizing I have many nice and nos parts that could go on this i decided I really did need another bike.

Not started any major work yet but I couldn't resist an initial polishing session just to see what i'm working with.

Over the past couple of years I have found it hard work to get out on a bike, but the last 3 months I have been getting out very regularly. For this reason, the bike will be built to work well, hopefully it will look good too!

I now have a collection of bits for it, Dia Compe, Bici, Suntour and Ringle all have a job to do on this frame.

Re:

Very nice James, i always fancied one of those but they always seem to be large sizes.

If you fancy a ride sometime give me a pm :D

Cheers, and will do. Ive been mostly road riding, everything round here is so sticky, ive been clogging up bikes and slicing tyres every time I try to get off road.
Will have to try and do something soon though, will drop you a pm. :)

That thing is gonna be art on wheels, never seen a carbon frame lugged like that. Congrats.
Thanks, I love it, if only I could make money as quick as I can spend it, this would be finished by now!

Re:

I was so tempted to buy that..........

glad to see where it ended up and you're making progress, and keen to see how it turns out, although may end up severely kicking myself

Re:
