That does sound like a lot, think if I was spending that much I'd want to build it myself from scratch and choose all the components.

i'd say $1000 is roughly £800

seems a ok price too me spin wheels can go for something like upto £250
xt drivetrain looks near enought minty, and the rest of the bike is looking good too, it's a nice bike, but alot of money

Not a bargain maybe bit step up price considering todays economy but not ridiculous . Guy definitely know what is worth. I concur Spins in good shape would go over £300 (that's what I've paid for) You would spend similar amount of money build it from scratch and agree, much more fun than buy a bike ready to go.

Guy is lacking realism. Obvious it's been ridden hard and the parts mix is...well just not that great. You going to buy that or the Xizang that sold last week for 1200.....?
