I've only ever used Sach's Wavy's so am hoping that the Precisions will feel a bit smoother and solid. Haven't used them yet, but they do feel quite nice 'in the hand' - not that that means anything in practice.

oh so you have a set? if/when you get them installed and had a chance to try them out, can you tell me how you like them?

i have one set of the Sach Wavy and i have to say i like the feel of SRAM X-rays better. but that could just be because i'm more use to them.

yes will do, the plan's to have them running this summer - just as it was the summer before

The Wavey's weren't very nice were they; took about 10 years for mine to smooth-up. (incidentally I never actually used the left one - it sat on the bar for years but I never used a front mech' ...still feels nasty)

Design looks similar in principle to the SRAM, so i'd assume it would perform about the same?

No, and it doesn't. They're pretty, though.

Darn, okay thanks. Guess I'm back to X-rays then. :(

And yes, they are pretty, hence why I thought I'd splurge on them.
