Pre/ Present/ Post retro ride soundtrack music...?

It's a tricky question as I just use a Shuffle set to, well, shuffle and there's a mix of what I think is very cool stuff and some that are clearly pretty embarrasing but I enjoy (often related to where I was or what I was doing when I heard them).

All that nonsense said, I'm always happy when the following come up (this is the bravest thing I've ever posted, opening up my music taste - or lack of - to public ridicule):

Numb - Jay Z/Linkin Park
Loverman - Martin Gore
Just Dropped In (To See What Condition...) - Kenny Rogers
Ottos Journey - Mylo (perfect tempo for climbing)
Loser - Beck
The APL Song - Black Eyed Peas (beacuse some of it is in Tagalog)
Setting Son - The Chemical Brothers
Genie in a Bottle - Christina Aguilera
She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult
Godless - The Dandy Warhols
Fine Time - New Order
Dream On (Dave Clarke Acoustic Mix) - Depeche Mode
Get The Message - Electronic
Woozy - Faithless
Wichita Lineman - Glen Campball
Living for the Weekend - Hard Fi
Heavyweight Champion of the World - Reverend and the Makers
F.E.A.R. - Ian Brown
Gas Panic - Oasis
Malibu - Hole
Ain't It Funny - Jennifer Lopez
Jesus Walks - Kanye West
Tour de France - Kraftwerk
Original - Leftfield Halliday
What Do You Want From Me - Monaco
Can's Stop - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Shower Scene - Saint Etienne
Gz and Hustlas - Snoop
Up The Junction - Squeeze
Superstition - Stevie Wonder
Freal Like Me - Sugababes
Cat People - David Bowie
Re-offender - Travis
Lucky Man - The Verve
Fade to Grey - Visage
Give It Away - Zero 7

Ed, there's some class mixed in their pal, don't know anyone else that ever liked that Electronic track apart from me being a massive New Order fan... Kraftwerk brings back 80's breakdance memories too...
The reverend are quality modern stuff and that Stevie Wonder track :D
That's a nice Ipod selection to menion !!
Last ride I did, I had the Reverend and the makers album on in the car and couldn't get that "bandit" track out of my head all through the ride...

I might say that all these are etched into the ride hard drive, not on a shuffle. Too scared to play a walkman on a bike...

ed,

she sells santuary, awsome, 8) thats on my shuffle aswel! feckin brilliant tune! and numb/encore it became a bit overplayed by gadio1 but i loved it a few months back during a part of the skyline trail that it seemed to fit beautifully, length of trail, length of track wise was perfect! :D

love ipod's, you can have a section in itunes or whatever in your playlists with a tracklist title of "guilty stuff" or "embarrassing stuff that i wouldn't want anyone to know i like . . .list" and it's hidden on the laptop! only you and your shuffle know the depths to which our bad taste in music can reach!

and mine is bad . . . and i sing in the car!

'Ace of spades' or 'Thunderstruck'.
I can ride any drop after listening to them!
Even wet roots won't stop me.
