I know this is an often asked question but I have realised I need to get one of my resto's going so need a decent powder coater round my way.

Looking for a mix of decent job and decent price. Colour I'm after is the silver/grey from the early '90's Orange option list. I believe some powder coaters only carry limited colours but I'm guessing a sort of undercoat grey should be quite easy to find?

Also, will I have to strip the paint off my frame before I send it? Any advise would be great! 8)

Thanks for that mate! Might have a drive over tomorrow. £35 for a bike frame does not sound bad.

Have you used them?

I contacted them for pricing and stuff- haven't used them yet, with christmas and the weather and stuff, I haven't had time to get the frames fully dismantled :P ...........I did have a good look at the testemonials, and the fact that they specialise in custom motorbike stuff is a good thing for bikes too- Yer Big Hairy Biker disnae put up with crap results!
Hopefully I'll get my frames to them when the snow clears, I've painted the kictchen, etc......
I'm currently drawin' up some designs for decals to get the Gil M treatment as well.

How is it up Settle way? Bad enough in Skipton so I guess you lot are pretty cut off?

Think I'll defo have a ride over tomorrow so will let you know what I find out. I liked the fact that they actually mention bike frames on the pricing list. Could be a winner.

Latest bout of snow isnae as deep as last weeks, but schools is shut- MrS LsD is a teacher, so it's a bit of a skive for her!
Once I can get to the shed, I'll be able to get the bikes dismantled. :P

Right.... Just dropped my frame off at this spot as they had a colour close enough to what I wanted. 8)

Chap there said they used to do loads of bikes bitd but then had a lull. Said starting to get a lot back in now so that suggests they know what they're doing.

It's going to cost £50 + VAT for my frame although I think I may have chosen a candy colour that come in more expensive. No need to strip the frame as they remove the old paint and treat any rust spots. Will update with the results in a week or so when I get it back. :D

They do look good, got a couple of frames myself that new doing. Might have a trip over once the snow clears.

Wonder if they will they do clear coat over decals too?

Bet they could do whatever you wanted as I bumped into a hairy biker on the way out and he didn't look like he took no for an answer!

Seriously though, they looked busy and were full of motorbike parts so seem well set up for our sort of requirements. Only a small, tatty set up but bloke on the counter was friendly and helpful so it could be well worth calling them. :D
