That's kinda my point.. if you're measuring to see if you need a 31.9 or a 34.9 front mech, or what size seatpost you need... it doesn't have to be THAT accurate.

AmTech. £2.89 delivered.

Don't know why I'm procrastinating really, could do with a set but thinking that I might regret spending £3 on these when I could be spending it on (or, rather, putting it towards) parts

Yes, the Aldi ones are very good for the money :D

We have calibrated Mitutoyos at work for comparison

I wouldn’t put the Aldi ones in a constant use / manufacturing environment but for occasional use at home they are a bargin :D

WD :D

The Aldi/Lidl (I call them laldi) ones are the same as the many ebay ones (as I've bought both) and many others you see (maplin, supply stores etc) Also you'll see them rebadged as more expensive £20+. Yes they are all the same, maybe with some fancier plastic put around them. Often not.
They're accurate enough to work out a SWG e.g between SWG28 and SWG30, so perfectly fine for a bike. They are quite sturdy as well, thick metal compared to eithe flimsy plastic or flimsy metal of cheap vernier scale versions.

They're not high end and remember not to press to hard to get the measurement. You're not trying to compress something in a vice
