Posting items, who best to use?

As above, I have always stuck by cash on collection but am beginning to be swamped by parts so considering offering postage, So would be grateful for any recommendations. Cheers.

For UK Postcodes I use Royal Mail for smaller items and Parcel Force for larger items. Yes you can get cheaper, but not worth the risk.

Always use 2nd Class Signed For as a minimum and never had anything lost selling stuff on here or via eBay.

Always buy postage online and print out at home/work which means when I go the Post Office and the queue for the "Post Office" cashiers is crazy long, I can go straight to the "normal" till and the guys there can scan my parcels for me, then I walk past the long queue of people and drop the parcels on the counter while getting death stares from everyone...

Internationally I have used these guys:
https://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/
Used them when Royal Mail had a cyber attack on their international services and had to stop taking parcels for about a month!

Transglobal were great and I got the most insanely detailed tracking information and the price was cheaper than Royal Mail who are very competitive for documents (I was sending an old bike catalogue to the US).

Thanks a lot for the quick reply, Will probably only post domestic, Once again thanks for the advice.
You're welcome! If you sell on here, most people don't mind waiting for items which means you can sometimes wait until you've sold a few parts and make just one trip to the PO. As long as you tell people this and let them know when it's been posted to reassure them you haven't forgotten or gone AWOL. Always take photos of item prior to packing, then packed in box and with box sealed... Just in case the worst happens and you need to make a claim. And then remember to delete off your phone once you know the item has arrived safely ;)

I post evri and every package I’ve sent got there on time without fail. The only time I’ve had trouble with evri was when I bought some brakes, they attempted to deliver, but then never delivered again.

I later found out it was given to the next door neighbours so who knows how long it was with them.

Exactly this. Reliable even for international postage.

I'd avoid Evri like the plague. They were useless when they were Hermes. Rebranding them as Evri hasn't changed a thing.

Everything that I have posted and ended up lost / refunded was due to Hermes / Evri - same with receiving.
Customer service is equally appalling. Forget trying to actually contact someone to speak to.
Save the hassle - use Royal mail / Parcel force instead.

It’s very interesting this, I stay away from Royal Mail, because they’ve recently lost parcels for me a few times.

And evri has never lost a parcel for me ever,

I use Royal Mail mostly for domestic and international. So far after 15yrs, nothing gone astray.
Sent a WEM Dominator 50watt amp to Chicago via Pack n Send, they picked up the amp from my house, then boxed it up and export import documentation and 10 days later it was at the buyers house knocking out bass tunes.
