Once you know the size and weight of the package you'll be sending, its a piece of cake to work out via the Royal Mail website.

I have posted a frame to Italy and Germany with a cost of £40 postage with the local Post Office in cardboard box.

postage costs

whatever u do don't wrap it in sellotape(other brands of sticky tape are available) & bin liners

sending from the US to UK always seems to be a lot cheaper. rip off UK thing again?
its the insurance that always massively ups the price.

From USA, Difficult to have an idea : for a bike (2 box, wheel and frame separate), I saw from 140$ (100 euro) to… 400$ !!!!!! (ebay)
But I think that "post" is cheaper than other international system. From GB to France, for a crank+brake lever+ bar, the first price gived to me for shipping to France was around 30 pound by Parcel Force, Around 8 pounds by post, for only the crank and the levers… (Thanks for the saler who took time for looking the cheaper shipping).

But GB shipping service seems to be expensive…
