My girlfriends sister goes to uni with some ginger kid who is in the Harry Potter movies.

I've never watched nor read anything Harry Potter related so I can't help with which character he actually is.

Ooh, and when we were yoof's my mates dad lived in the same village as Barry Norman. Whilst mooching one evening, my mate said 'that's Barry Normans house', to which another friend responded by urinating on his car

I'm on a roll now...

Graham Poll regularly drinks in the Pub where my mate is bar manager.

I went to Uni with Guy Whelton who was a first-class cricketer and opener for Nottinghamshire at the time. He appears to have dissapeared into obscurity now but he was always good for comp. tickets to Trent Bridge :)

A lad I know's Dad is Tony Galvin.

I went to the same school as Lewis Hamilton, but left before he started.

I worked at a college where 2 of the former students became Australian Prime Ministers (Gough Whitlam and Billy McMahon).

Geoffrey Hughes used to come into Tesco in Huntingdon and buy two large bottles of whiskey.

Me and my Grandma ( ) met Louise Ada (Lou Beale of that Eastenders) on the train into Brighton. All the girls were excited - my Gran used to meet up with her all the time.

Last summer I was walking to work in Stockholm and noticed John Lydon loittering around on the main shopping street (waiting for the shops to open?!)
I was so surprised the following conversation took place:

Me – "'ello Johnny!"
John (sneering) – "'eeelllo!"
Me (thinking fast) – "I just read about you in the paper!"
John – "Good for you!!"

Mad, meeting one of my heros on the way to work!
(My friend missed a classic opportunity, I actually said to him "Is that Johnny Rotten?" to which he should have replied "No, I bought it yesterday!" a'la 70's playground joke.)

I used to go cycling with Iwan Thomas - I was possibly the first to ride (and crash) an MTB on a BMX track in Godmanchester...

He's an MBE now - I wonder if he remembers us mere mortals?
