Possible Swap: Modern Non Disc Wheelset for Retro Wheelset

Morning Folks,

I have a lovely pair of XTR M960 hubs (non disc) laced into XC717 (Black non disc) rims that are perfectly true and very light. Both hubs come with a splattering of Titanium (axels & cassette body.

Sadly the age of the wheels are not in keeping with the build and so reluctantly I am putting the feelers out for a swap.

So then folks WHY?

here's my offering for a potential p/x (as undoubtedly not as high-end as yours) pair of approx '96 / '97 STX-RC 7 speed cassette Parallax hubs complete with original skewers laced with stainless spokes to eyeletted Mavic 220 silver UB rims. In really good nick, very clean and hubs have very recently had a rebuild for my Marin single speed project. Lovely pair but I'm considering something a bit more modern as the rear hub is 130mm OLD and ideally I'm after 135 to fit the frame.

I'm quite happy with mine but if you're really after period type hoops I have a pair of XT hubs / Mavic 221 rims on my '97 Kilauea if you fancy a swap/part-ex? front is an XT Parallax M737 and the rear is XT M752 they're both in very nice condition with the rear hub having just had a service @ Sunset..
