The frame is the same as the 1996 Muni Mula, so very well worthy of upgrading.
However the P2 is a plain-gauge 'Project 2 Sport', so that must have been a bit of an economy measure to hit the price point as the bike would surely be better with a triple-butted P2. Still, plenty of people have stiffer forks than that with stiffer frames than that these days, harder people than me that is.
