Hi All,

I am doing up my cruiser as some of you might know but I am going to sell the DMR V12 Mag's in Steel Grey that I bought and am thinking of some polycarbonate instead.

I know this might seem like a downgrade to some people but I have metal flat pedals on one of my cruisers and matt black Odyssey poycarbonates on my 3rd cruiser and I think I much prefer the polycarb look, less shiny and more retro looking.

I have spent hours and hours looking at cranksets and rims lately and I am so knackered, so to save me some time can I please get some tips on what cool polycarbonate pedals are out there?

I am thinking of some with a nice colour on them, so not just black or white. I have a silver bike and am about to order a Middleburn RS7 crankset with a Middleburn Uno 38T chainring (both in black), so I want something that will look cool and accent the other colours on the bike.

Any brand names much appreciated, price not an issue, within reason.

Thanks

Thanks for the help all, I have ordered some pedals now. I have 3 cruisers so might put on all 3 bikes, or keep a set or 2 for the future

Have ordered the following:

Odyssey Twisted - Clear Gold
Odyssey Twisted - Clear Root beer
Fit bikes - Clear Black.

I will post some pics when I get one of them fitted to my bike, thanks for all your help

Given that pedals have a pretty hard time of it under normal use and do suffer greatly from offroad damage,is plastic the right material to choose?

Are they lighter ? :?

I guess its possible but my bikes are beach cruisers and only used for cycling around my village, so are not used off-road.

I have another cruiser with poly Odyssey pedals and I love the retro-matte look of the pedals. If they are lighter it makes no difference to me.

I am sure if you used it off-road and your bike got a real hammering them maybe metal/magnesium ones would be better but I dont know, but I am sure there are people out there who know a lot more than me.
