please help my identify my KHS

hi all i have just found your site though someone at work and I love it. I am hoping that you will be able to help me out I have a khs bike but i don't know what one it is. The derailers are XTR and XT and most of the other stuff on it is a mixture of XT and LX if this helps. I think from the serial number that it is 1993 as it starts U312 i have put some pictures up too to let u see her. cheers for any help jockfraz.

Nice. I'm a sucker for a khs. That is later than 93. I'm no xt expert but the front mech is later than 93 and the decals are in line with 94 to 96. If the groupset is original i'd say its a montana pro 94.

I suspect it rides very well and weighs very little?

yeah it does ride very well and the weight isn't too bad considering the age.

im having a bit of a dilemma tho i would like front forks but im struggling to find a set i like at a price i like, as i have been told that the bike has a 1" steerer due to its age.

so i dont know weather to stick with her or go for a new bike?
